Welcome to St. Peter's Church

We hope you are enjoying the further relaxation in restrictions and that those who have visited St. Peter's for Private Prayer over the past few weeks have been comforted.

After prayerful consideration of how to move forwards, we have decided we will NOT be returning to our regular pattern of worship straight away but during JULY and AUGUST we will be having a mix of services available which will include the online Sunday morning worship #10@10 at 10.00am via Facebook, and Sunday Evening Prayer at 8.00pm via ZOOM alongside transitioning back into the church building

To assist this change, as of next week (beginning Monday 13th July 2020) private prayer will no longer be available in order to make a return to services possible, taking into account the practicalities of cleaning.

However, we are pleased to let you know that from Wednesday 15th July  our weekly

Wednesday 9.30am service of Holy Communion will resume with continued & additional safety measures in place e.g. we have to keep a register of attendees to assist the NHS Track & Trace system.

So our tables of Sunday Services for July & August look like this:

Sunday Online 10@10   12th July            Revs Rachel & Bruce     NIGHT PRAYER  8pm on Zoom

There may  still be more revised guidance to come or we may sadly have to go back to more restrictions depending on Covid 19 but we would like to thank you for your patience  and appreciation for all we have to do, in order  to reopen our building for the community we serve. We hope this is Good News for you all but please feel assured there is no pressure for your return until you feel it is the right thing to do for YOU!

We look forward to seeing you.

God bless,

from the CHURCHWARDENS Anne & Michael and  Asst Curate Tina Burgess

Should you be in a position of particular need please contact the clergy either by phone or email.

Welcome to the website of St Peter’s Church in Redcar.  We hope that you will discover all you need to know from the information here but the best way to get to know a church is by visiting. Whether you choose to pop in one lunchtime for a time of quiet and to light a candle; or if you would like to come along to one of the services, please be assured that there will be a warm welcome awaiting you.

I believe that as Christians we need lots of opportunity to join together to worship God, explore the bible and learn about our faith whilst sharing in social activities, providing a place to build relationships and friendships. This is what church is for and throughout a year St Peter’s offers all of those opportunities.

We also take very seriously our commitment to care for the community and the wider world. Locally we support the Churches Together Foodbank and there are regular events to raise money for charity.

You are welcome to come along at any time.

                                                                           Reverend Canon Rachel Harrison

To YOU the Congregation - A FINANCIAL MESSAGE

As I’m sure you would expect, Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the parish finances. This is mainly due to cancelled public worship services – therefore no collections of envelopes or cash and cancelled fundraising and social events.

Even if envelopes can be dropped off or collected soon, if no further fundraising this year, it is predicted we will have at least a £10,000 deficit by the end of the year.

However you give, we are asking everyone to think and pray whether you are in a position to financially contribute additional funds to the parish during the Covid-19 restrictions. If you give by envelope, please consider:

· Dropping your envelopes through the doors of:

   Michael William   24 Windsor Road

or Anne Hagen     20 Cartmel Road

· Arranging for your envelopes to be collected in a safe way by contacting

   Michael Williams on 01642 758044

or Anne Hagen on 01642 479755

If you give by standing order, please consider:

· Increasing your regular giving  permanently or during the next few months through online banking, by telephone banking or, if safe to do so, in branch.

· Make a one-off payment to help us make back the money we have lost with no fundraisers and social events.

Please add a clear reference as to what the money is for e.g. Envelope Giving,

a Gift, 100 Club and your name, especially if it is gift-aided.

New online giving facility

A new method of contributing to the churches finances has now been added. This enables anyone, wishing to do so, to donate to the church and to include gift-aid in their donation.

If you wish to make use of this facility please "click" the button below and fill out the details required. Your donation will be most gratefully received particularly under the present troubled circumstances.

Thank you
