other methods of donating

The church is a self-supporting organisation, although the clergy are paid by the Church of England, significant contribution is made by the church to the Diocese.

The upkeep of the building and, more importantly, all the activities undertaken by the church are financed by donations from the congregation and visitors.

There are various opportunities available to support us financially:

Brick by brick

For just £25 you can buy a brick to either commemorate or celebrate an event or a person. A certificate will be issued in commemoration and your donation will help to support the church. If you wish to buy a brick please contact us by email at:

stpeterschurchredcar@gmail.com or complete the form that can be found in our magazine.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer and have signed a Gift Aid declaration the Church can claim 25% tax on any donation you make, from HMRC. Signing such a declaration does not commit you to any amount of donation or any regular payment. All that is required is that your donations are recorded.

Some people choose to do this by Bank Standing Order, but of course this does require a regular donation. Should you wish to make a single donation or intermittent ones then there are envelopes available from church for this purpose.

Other people choose to use the weekly envelopes. These do not have to be used every week and an amount of your choosing can be donated.

If you would like further information please contact the Churchwardens or the Treasurer
