MEN’S GROUP GOLF

The Men ventured forth for one of their regular “golf tournaments” to Holey Molies at Skelton to engage in fierce competition for the prestigious golf trophy. Malcolm was vociferous in his protestations that he did not want , for some reason, to win the beautiful trophy yet again.

We arrived on a cold bitter day and rushed into the building only to find to our horror that it was just as cold inside. Splitting into two groups the contest began with the usual variety of strokes and variations in competence (the writer being particularly inept).

We soon realized that Malcolm had protested too much as he ran out a comfortable winner to retain his hold on the trophy.

 Everybody enjoyed the game and especially the rather large plates of grub served up in the restaurant
